Boat hire on Platypus is one of the best value experiences you can have when chartering on Sydney Harbour. This Seawind 1000 was launched in late 2014 and is still in great condition. Her sound system has recently been updated so she is ready for Summer! She is an ideal vessel if you are after a no-fuss charter. Offering enough additional extras to make your time onboard truly memorable.

The skipper of Platypus has worked for many years across many different vessels on Sydney Harbour. Their knowledge and expertise onboard will guarantee that you and your guests are in great hands. As Platypus is a fast sailing boat, you will have the option to go for either a thrilling sail around Sydney Harbour, or sit back and enjoy a cruisy day.

Inside Platypus, you can expect an elegant combination of navy fabrics and countertops, paired with traditional timber finishing. She can accommodate up to 8 guests in her spacious sleeping quarters, enclosed bathroom with electric flushing toilet, sink and gas hot water shower.

Feeling hungry during your charter? Platypus has a very well equipped galley on board with plenty of bench space. She has an outdoor BBQ which makes her perfect for BYO.  Onboard Platypus, you also have the option for catering if you just want to sit back and relax. You can enjoy your feast in the spacious main cabin where there is a large table and seating area for up to 8 guests. While you are inside, you will still be able to get that beautiful sea breeze as the main cabin has rare opening windows.

After lunch, why not have a siesta on the nets on the front of the catamaran? You can also easily access the water from this point with ladders to the ocean on the front and back of the vessel. For even more fun, why not hire out the toys available too? Platypus offers a lilypad, a swimming platform as a water toy.

4-hours slow roasted Lamb, marinated in white wine, garlic, rosemary, EVO with a hint


chilly, cooked in the wood-fired oven – accompanied with Cocktail Potatoes salad.


Delicatessen Chef Aperitivo – Includes 50 items

Mushrooms & Truffle Arancini: Deep fried rice balls stuffed with mozzarella cheese.

Panini Imbottiti: mini seasoned buns stuffed whit hot salami and cream cheese.

Salted Cheesecake: Four cheese, hint of chives in a savoury tartlet.

Prawns cocktail: Whiskey pink sauce and cos lettuce.


Delicatessen Chef Aperitivo – Includes 50 items

Crocchette: creamy potatoes fried balls, parmesan, parsley and spicy aioli.

Pumpkin: wood fired roasted butter honey pumpkin, goat cheese, walnuts.
