Celebrate ANZAC Day in style
ANZAC Day
ANZAC Day is a national public holiday held annually to recognise and remember those in the Australian and New Zealand army “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”.
On this Day, thousands wake up for morning Dawn service where since 1927, only the veterans would “stand-to” and have 2 minutes of silence in honour of those who serves and died in the wars of Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire.
On Sydney Harbour, ANZAC day events Sydney parades are also on show where Navy warships and other large vessels show their respects to their veterans. ANZAC Day boat & Yacht hire is not quite common however, that is a good sign. The Harbour isn’t overly busy which means spending the morning on your own private boat or yacht will be calmer than ever.
